Maximize your gains with what you already have

first of all, hello guys

Ok the title looks good but how can we do it?
Its simple if you are with a good profit, just work with that profit. The question here is, do you want to risk part of your profit or not. Depends on your style of trading. I like to work in the third set cause i have a good read of the games and big profits can come from it but when i started i had mine biggest losses in the third set and the reason is obvious, the risk is higher, everything can happen. So here is an example to maximize your gains with what you already have, or one way to work in the second or third set:

First set:
I try to read the game and apply Tradeshark's strategies.
Imagine i had a good first set with 40% of stake(just an example) of profit. I hedge and lets say that i have  200 € in both.

Second set:
I see an oportunity to lay the player that won the first set. He can be tanking, too much unforced errors, there are many reasons but you got to have one, don't enter without a reason.
I back the player that lost the first set with the 200 € in the player that won the first set.

Imagine that the odd of the player that lost the first set is 2.5.
im now 0 in the player that won the first set and 700 in the other player
Imagine the player that lost the first set wins the second, and his odd is 1.6 now. So u now added 180 € and you have 380 € in the player that won the second.

And you can do this for the third set. Remember to control your greed.
A stop loss is recommended if in the second/third the market goes against you. For example put a stop loss when u lost half of the profit.

I am sucessfull a lot of time with this so give it a try.

If you are starting trading forget what i said before and learn the basics first. Work your consistency before working for money and just work in the first set. Think in doing quality trades over many trades. When i say quality i mean respecting the stop profit/loss of the strategy ALWAYS. When in doubt of respecting the strategy, ask this to you, "Do i want trading for a living or part-time for many years?" if your answer is yes, reply yourself "yes i want, so im gonna respect the strategy in every way otherwise ill be gambling and in some time ill be in bankruptcy. There are no exceptions, so I'll always respect the strategy!"

good trades

Simple things can make all the difference

Hello, how is everyone doing?

Today i'd like to talk about something i read some time ago from a stock trading book that has a great value. The trader in question in the end of the month would search in his trading results for the stocks that he was not trading good (for ex: biggest loss, consistent losing trades) and would stop trading them. That is very good for tennis and other sports. Imagine you have three games for 2 pm. And in two of those games are players that normally in the end of that match you have a loss or not very good trades. So you will choose the other game left to trade. This is just one example of the useful side of this viewpoint. The key here is to keep a journal of your trades and watch for losing games or bad games and try to identify some players that you dont trade so good like others. Treat your trading as a business.

what a game by inter. Indian wells

Enjoyed watching and trade today some games after some busy times for uni. Congratulations to inter. Italian teams have a great  mental side and they were the proof of it.

Today im gonna talk about self-improvement in trading. How can you improve? Well in tennis like in every sport i would say to watch a lot of games to gain some experience and dont fall in easy mistakes. I played tennis for 5 years before started trading. I already watched a lot of games before. Experience is everything.

A trader is known good not only for the profit he makes but how he control the losses' games.

My method to improve my trading is simply writing down the errors that i did in every match and i simply try to avoid that errors from now on. It works for me, so give it a try.

Dont think how much money u are making but what was the quality of your trading.

In my opinion one thing that trading's software lack of is simply one option to see everything in % and not in money units. The trader's performance would be huge. Imagine that u instead of watching 1K entering in the trade u simply watched "2 %" of the bank.

If u already make consistent profits i would recommend you to spend a % of the annual return of the profit (2-3) in some new trading books or in valuable guides (there are some in the internet). There is always things to learn in a lot of sports. For example my next step is to learn to trade horses and there is some good info in the internet.

The best way to start the week...

is to listen some music. What do you hear before trading? I find guns and roses' music isnpiring and of course, slash's solos ;P.

Its a good time to talk about some things with value in football. Champions league is reaching a crucial point and teams are a bit tired by now. So they tend to rest if they are winning in their championships game. For example Barça just won 1.0 last time. Why, if they got a lot of ball % like in oher games? Cause they will play arsenal and they have to rest a bit to gain some advantage and if u normally watch barcelona's game take a look at their attitude in the championnship game before an important game for europe. Sometimes we can get very good odds like one that i got in under 3,5 goals in the last barça game @ 1.54 @ halftime when the game was 1.0 for barça. The game finished with 1.0 for barça.

So my tip here is for example:
Choose a team that you like and that goes often to europe.
Watch their game for championship before an important game for europe and notice how they usually play the game and how the manager manages the game(substitutions, pressure of the team).

Busy weekend

Hey. Busy weekend here with the carnival's parties and works for uni. Today im going to write some tips and strategies that i think to have some value for tennis. Football and nba coming soon.

Tennis strategy (wta)

1. (good fav vs player playing @ home or a fighter)
Back a good favourite before the game starts. If she wins the first set pay attention to her attitude in the second set and if there are signs of the fav tanking or not caring (unforced errors for ex) put all the green in the non fav player and in the third just expect a nice start form the non fav and wait for odds of 2 @ both and hedge. In the monterrey tournment there were more then five games where this could be applied. You should start practising this strategy with low stakes. The key here is to try to read the fav attitude in the second set. Read the signs.

2.
Back the fav if lost the first
Very risky strat cause of the injuries. Low stakes here.

There are some more that ill talk in the future.

A very  good thing to do in tennis is to watch the whole tournment. I am doing more lately and so i can preview better some games and so think about the strategies to apply and i always take a look at Ts's tips.

ps: use the strats carefully ;P

Real 7 - 0 Malaga

I usually dont back real madrid but in my opinion this week the odd of 1.19 got some value. Usually mourinho's teams are very strong after a loss or giving away points. Malaga is in "war" with mourinho since he said that he would never quit real to go coach malaga. So we would want to prove that they were better.
7-0 !! That was mourinho's answer.

In tennis traded two games.

Kleybanova x krajicek . Gave a good profit cause kraj was capable to win the second set and she did it and started the 3rd very well.

hradecka x pervak . One of the craziest games i ve seen in the last months. Can u imagine a favorite missing 7 bps!! in the first set? Can u imagine the non fav ( fav @ that point of the game) winning 4.2 in the tie break of the second set and oportunity to serv  and be closer to win the match and losing the tie break and in the 3rd set breaking the fav serv in the first game of the set. Took a decent profit and left the game cause was crazy.

Will be difficult to trade from now on cause of university work  but from time to time will try to update the blog ;P

Congratulations Benfica!!

radwanska x jovanovski

The first game of the day for me and entered late in the game, thing that i rarely do, but in this case I watched some games of the third set and at some point though the lay in the fav at that point got some value (1.14) and layed the favorite. I was in profit and could be huge if the non favorite held with a 40.30. She didn’t. Hedged for a small loss. Stayed a bit out of the trades and watched the game going on and spotted a good op for favorite win the set and she won.
Sorry for not putting player’s name in this text cause it was early and can’t remember most of it lol.

Noppawan x Kremer

Kremer started a little slow and noppawan dominated the first games and then kremer started playing. Layed Kremer when the game was very balanced and koppawan seemed to be fresher. Got out as soon as I saw a reaction by kremer, backed her and stayed a bit in the tie break with the money in her cause she was more experienced and seemed to do the right things in the right moments. As soon as she got the mini break I put a free bet in her and left the game because there was a lot of noise in the room where I was trading and I can’t trade with a lot of noise so stayed out of the game but checked the score occasionally. In my opinion Noppawan could have won the game if she got more experience because the match was very balanced and kremer’s experience was the key.

My tip here is if you are starting trading tennis avoid 3rd set of players that you are not sure about, especially in wta, with all those breaks. Try to read the match and the players’ attitude in every set.

Errari x Arn

This was the game of the day. As I am writing the players are still playing in the third set. Arn started the game really well and got some bps and missed them all so I backed errani hoping that arn had some frustration. Errani broke. I knew that the next game would be a big fight but stayed cause arn should be feeling a little of frustration and Errani held and broke again. Thought the set was over but in the next errani serv game arn managed to be with a 0.30 and I got out with 200€ in both cause arn could react and the price only had moved 5 ticks from the initial price in the beginning of the game so there was some value in hedging at that point. I went to see a football game that im going to talk about and when I returned I see a 6.5 for arn and errani with a price of 1.3. My head started to think about it and I found a lot of reasons to put all my green in arn. She played very well in her last game, she was caring about the set and she broke errani serv sometimes, so why not, 1.3 seems very good?  So I was with  –8 € in errani and 800 € in arn. Arn managed to get a 15.40 in errani serv game but missed both set points and I was like, “Will be very difficult , she needs a good mindset now”, So I decide to wait for the conclusion of that game. If she had lose that game and result was 6.6 I would got out outherwise I would think about third set. Arn still broke broke after several misses.Third set. Errani price was between 1.6 – 1.7. And I thought, if arn held in the 3rd set the first serv game(just two points were necessary) that was the first game of the set the market would go crazy and I could hedge 400 in both. And arn was confident and so it happened. Backed 400 @ 2 and got 400 € in both. Checked now that Arn won the game. Big overturn. That second set made her confident. Mental side is the key almost in every wta game.

Today to make a different post I’m going to talk about a football match between my club Benfica and Sporting( it’s the most important game here in Portugal). Benfica was a big favorite with a price of 1.6 . Sporting scored first with a lucky goal and Benfica was very passive in the game. Three defenders from Sporting got a yellow card and benfica started to get some intensity so I layed Sporting for 500 €. Penalty for benfica some minutes later. I said to my dad that the player (Cardozo-you may know him for missing a penalty against spain representing Paraguay in the world cup) would miss the penalty lol. He missed the penalty and the goalkeeper saved for corner. And I was like, “FFs, the couch should choose another player for the penalties, always the same thing”. Missing a penalty is always bad mentally for a team. In the corner the player that missed the penalty scored with the head! lolol. Benfica has a very good squad,  better than Sporting, was dominating and the crowd was with the team.  The score was 1.1 at the halftime. Benfica missed a lot of goals in the second time and sporting had some dangerous chances so I decided to leave the game with 350 in both in minute 75 of the game. Benfica scored in the last minute of the extra time that will let them reach the final for the league’s trophy. Crazy game.

Hope u liked the text

New month, new trades.

Today was a good sunny day  ;P. How was the weather in your city/country?

rezai vs kudryavtseva

Rezai started with a lot of unforced errors and kudry was holding easily and broke rezai serv game and held her serv game again. I backed when it was 4.1 to kudry if im not mistaken and she won the first set without problems. I decided to stay a bit in the second to watch if rezai would react in the second set and because rezai's last match was a long time ago and she could lack of match rythm. She didn’t react and was playing like “kill or die”, in this case, winner or ball out so i stayed with her. Conclusion she could not break kudry serv and kudry broke later and won the game thanks to rezai errors.

Pervak vs Georges

Pervak dominated the first set and I backed her when the score was 1.3 15-40 in Georges serv cause if pervak held the next serv game the price would drop a lot and she was playing better and if it doesn’t happened the loss would not be very big cause market wasnt believing in her. Pervak broke, held her service and  won the first set. Stayed a bit in the second but cause I had to go, I closed with a nice profit in the second set. Later I saw that pervak won.

King vs Oudin

Backed oudin when the score was 40.40 5.4 to oudin (king serving). King 2nd serv point won % was really bad and as i saw that king was going to serv the second serv in 40.40 i backed oudin. Break for oudin and she won the first set. King started very well in the second set and  the score was 0.30 to king in oudin serv game and i changed my money to king. 0.40 -> 15-40 ->30-40 -> 40-40 -> A-40 = goodbye profit lol.
What happens when a girl cant break with a 0.40 in this conditions? she loses the game. In the final of that game i backed oudin and got a nice profit for the work. My read of the game was that in the second vania would work for that set with that 0.40 but as soon as i understand that wasnt going to happen backed oudin. Although i could had a profit 4x time bigger in this game if i waited more i was happy cause i was able to identify that i was wrong backing vania. And like Ts says "A profit is a profit".

Hope to get some free time in the next days and that you liked to read this text.

ps: I need to read/learn some football strategies cause im not consistent at it. do you know where i can find some info on that?

First day of the blog

It was a great day to trade. Im starting the semester in the university so in the first weeks i got a lot of free time to trade and other things. Abou tennis matches:

- Arn vs zahlova
Scoreboards were crazy so i reduced the stakes. Arn played terrible the last time i traded her and was expecting a difficult time for her. She dominated the first games of the set and backed her at a decent price. She controlled the 2nd set too so nothing more to add.

- kerber vs hercog. Hercog won the first games of the first set and i backed her and in the end of the first set i decided to stay a bit to try to read if kerber's mind was in the game. Hercog was solid, serving like a man, and kerber was not even close to break and when this happens sometimes the player that is one set behind gets anxious and start doing mistakes and that happened and got a good profit from that.
Was a nice read of the match.

The other match i'd like to talk about is the schiavone game. She won the first set easily and in the second set she started doing that unforced errors that is common in the players that are not caring about 2 set. i waited a bit longer for the right moment and layed 2.0 sets for schiavone for a very good price  and the set went to a tie break. Dokic won and in the tie break schiavonne with an injury. But the market was not very convinced of schiavonne's injury neither me. I waited for the third set and dokic was clearing dominating and with a very good price. Schiavone was having some difficulties to run and i backed dokic and earn a good profit in the game.

Hope u liked the read. You can find me in the tradeshark room if u wanna talk about something. And btw for people starting trading tennis tradeshark tennis blog is the right place to start . Its where i started too and later developed my own trading style.
