Trading Focus/ El pibe / future plans / free time / Tennis Tips for this week

Hello,

not much trading lately cause of university exams and its a good opportunity to take a break from the markets to relax.

What's your focus when you are going to trade one game? win money? its ok, but you must have a bigger belief that is "i must protect my bank" and why is that? Do you know that situations when you must hit the stop and you cant? thats why. When your belief of making money is bigger then protecting your bank you are in a dangerous situation and when you are losing money your mind will make you avoid hitting the stop cause you are losing money and by having the biggest belief being " i wanna win some money" your gambler side will "hope" for the market coming to your side. Hope is one of your enemies in trading. You must approach the market with the biggest belief being " i must protect my bank and respect my money management ALWAYS".

In the future posts i will talk more about accepting losses. I normally just talk about something when it comes to my mind so if some one of you reading this would like some topic to be discussed just ask.

Next month ill start teaching mine methodology in the classes for traders and i have already some traders interested for the classes and i would like to thank them for trusting in me when im about to start this business. Im preparing every detail for our journey and for the ones who would like to get some advice/or improve without taking the full journey im preparing a book. This book is not going to be for begginers cause i think there are already very good ones in the market (like TS guide) but for traders looking for ideas to develop their trading.

Down

I went to see "the hangover 2" some weeks ago and too be honest i am disappointed with that movie. Its very similar to the first but in another place basically. If you watched the first one dont bother pay to watch the second in the cinema.

Up

On the other side i watched "pirates of the caribbean on stranger tides" and liked a lot. Im not a big fan of pirates of the caribbean but this film was very entertaining.

"Inglorious basterds" - Great performance by Brad Pitt.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361748/

summary: In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis.

Tennis tips for this week:

-There are some favs trading @ prices lower then their real value. Study the games and you will be able to make a decent profit laying some. Eventually most of them will win the game so try to catch the biggest price in favs.

Nice video from a great trader

lyrics:

"Chorus:

A
You get a whip and I get a saw, honey

                                E7
You get a whip and I get a saw, babe

A                  A7
You get a whip and I get a saw

D7
One good trend pays for ‘em all.

A              E7    A
Honey, trader, ba-by mine.

Banjo
 (Ride Your Winners):
What do we do when we catch a trend, honey ... etc.
We ride that trend right to the end.

Mandolin (Cut Your Losses):
What do we do when we show a loss, honey ... etc.
We give that dag-gone loss a toss.

Fiddle
 (Manage Your Risk):
How do we know when our risk is right, honey ... etc.
We make a lot of money and we sleep at night.

Guitar
 (Use Stops):
What do we do when the price breaks through, honey ... etc.
Our stops are in so there’s nothing to do.

Bass (Stick to the System):
What do we do when a draw down comes, honey
What do we do when it gets real big, babe
What do we do when it's even bigger ...
We stick to the plan and pull the trigger.

Banjo (File the News):
What do we do with a hot news flash, honey ... etc.
We stash that flash right in the trash."

"Miracles" are underrated / break for exams / grass season

Hello,

today i would like to talk about "miracles" in tennis . In my opinion i dont think its miracles cause the match just finishes after one player wins and in wta in particular there are incledible comebacks. One for example was one month ago, cant remember exactly, but one girl had 40.15 and was one point away to win the match and lost the match. Its always good to put some profit laying low odds if we think the other player might have a chance or can do better then what he is doing. Value trading is related to this. Ill give you a pratical exercise: Count the number of "miracles" that happen and put some profit in the games that you think a comeback is possible and then trade normal for the same time and make you calculations to see if its worthy in the long term.

Ill do a break to study for exams so ill not trade till the end of this month. Any questions just email to babypuntz@gmail.com. If you have any doubts dont hesitate emailing me cause many traders do it and i think its valuable for you.

The grass season is here. Wimbledon in the horizon. Many people (including me) struggled in the beggining of the grass season and its normal dont be afraid. Your strategies must be modified for grass cause the market has different moves. I noticed that after one favourite break and at the break points there was almost no value so my strategy was to study much more the players, motivations, injuries, recent form in the night for one hour in order to predict if the fav could break first in the first set and other things for value trading. It worked and i was back to my normal trading days in the third day. I am not a big fan of grass season and didnt trade it last year cause was studing for exams so my experience is not much.

See you in July.

A lot of games to trade at the same time but...

Hello,

27. MAXIMIZE GAINS, NOT THE NUMBER OF WINS
Eckhardt explains that human nature does not operate to maximize gain but rather the chance of a gain.
The problem with this is that it implies a lack of focus on the magnitudes of gains (and losses)-a flaw that
leads to nonoptimal performance results. Eckhardt bluntly concludes: "The success rate of trades is the least
important performance statistic and may even be inversely related to performance." Yass echoes a similar
theme: "The basic concept that applies to both poker and option trading is that the primary object is not
winning the most hands, but rather maximizing your gains."

from The New Market Wizards by Jack D. Schwager
(recommended read)

Avoid trading more then one game at the same time. Focus in the game you are trading and you will be sucessfull.

tennis tips

Hello, just a quick but important post today.

today i would like to talk to you about measuring confidence and putting it working in trading. How much times did you think a player could win the serv game but you are not confortable backing him? You know he has a big chance of winning it but you are not confident in him. When this happens i usually wait for the first point to be played and watch the body language of the players and their reactions. If the game goes 15.0  there is some value cause from 15.0 to 30.0 the price will move some ticks and the player serving will be more confident. You must always think in exit price in case it goes against you. In the other hand if the game goes to 0.15 you are not in so you wont lose anything.

Another important thing to say is that the first point of every game can sometimes be the hardest to the server cause its the first time he will serv in the game. So sometimes there is value of closing the trade just after  the first point especially in girls.

Daily errors / rules / nba

Hello,

Lately i've seen many people saying that they dont know what to do and they are still with an open position. This is very bad. If you dont know what to do just get out. You are just gambling. When you enter you must have one exit in your head. For example of you see me trading, i normally post my entries in the chat, you must have noticed that im obsessed with exits and always respect them. Its fundamental to be IN CONTROL. If you follow the rules you will never get out of control. Big losses come from getting out of control. Some rules you must respect always:

1. Respect money management 100% (includes your stake size and max loss per game) 99,9% isnt enough.
The most important rule. Stake size should not be bigger then 10 % of the bank and the smaller the %, better.
3. Plan an exit point for every entry and respect it.
2. Plan your game. If you have time for a detailed plan do it, but if you dont have it at least check head 2 head
,recent form, possible injuries and last year performance.
4. Avoid tie-breaks.
5. Dont risk money in the third set (play with your profits)
6. Dont trade more then 1 game at the same time.

If you respect them you will be in control and will be successful.

Game 2 is today and Miami's home record in the playoffs is what comes to my mind. Every game is important but game two is vital for Dallas' team. Dirk is with a small injury in his non shooting hand and  lacked consistent shooters to the team. I think miami's odd has value but i think that a better price will come, so my recommendation for this game is to you try to catch the biggest odd for miami before the last quarter. Its a difficult task.
update: One of the most crazy comebacks i have ever saw in my life. Miami heat were 15 points ahead(!!!) with 7 minutes to play and lost in the last seconds. Incredible. Im glad i closed ealier to enjoy watching the final minutes. 15 points ahead!! Miami coach must be fired. Terrible coaching.
Its also very important to say that Shaq has retired from Basket. 19 years of big performances. Good luck Shaq.

Video: A nice tribute song to Miami Heat from Kie Money.
